Ester Garcia, the lawyer representing the victim violated by ex-Barcelona FC defender, Dani Alves, has kicked against the release of the player by Spanish authorities.
Alves was released from jail in Barcelona, Spain, on Monday after paying the sum of €1 million (£850,000) as a bail condition following his recent rape conviction.
He was given a four-and-a-half-year prison sentence in court after it was determined last month that he had raped a woman in a nightclub in December 2022.
The 40-year-old has been jailed by authorities looking into the rape accusation against him for the past 14 months, during which time he has been housed in the Brians II prison 45 minutes outside Barcelona.

Recall that while reacting when Alves was granted bail, Garcia stated that she was surprised and outraged by the court ruling and also vowed to appeal the decision.
Upon hearing the ex-right-back had been granted bail, Ester Garcia, the lawyer of Alves’s victim, told Spanish news outlet El Mon a RAC1 last week she was “surprised and outraged” and would appeal the decision.
“It is a scandal that they let him go free… It seems that justice is being done for the rich.”
