UNILAG replies Rema after he complained about lingering ASUU strike

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has replied Nigerian singer to Rema after he took to social media to complain about the lingering strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Recall that the ‘Dumebi’ crooner lamented that since he got admission into the University of Lagos, which he announced earlier this year, he has been unable to attend any classes as a result of the strike.

Moments after he made the comments on social media, another ivory tower

Bowen University saw it as a chance to advertise their institution as they tweeted at Rema, writing: “ASUU can’t delay you if you’re enrolled in Bowen University.”

Rema then replied to the comments by Bowen University telling UNILAG that another school is “toasting him.”

“UNILAG private university don dey Toast me o, I’m blushing omg stop it.”

Moments later UNILAG replied: “Hmm… Rema dear, UNILAG has chosen you o, Hmm… so don’t let anybody come dey change your mind o… Rema no dey vex for us o.”

“Awww Unilag end the strike or I will go ooo, we want to go back to school pls the youths are not happy!” Rema replied.
