Talented Nigerian singer, Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, popularly known as Oxlade, has explained how cultists forced him to drop out of the university as a final year student.

The ‘Kulosa’ crooner who opened up during an interview on the Tea With Tay podcast said that he dropped out of Lagos State University (LASU) in his final year because cultists were trying to initiate him.

The musician who informed that he was constantly reading his books and studying his Bible stated that he had to drop out of school because of the disturbance of the cultists.

He said; “During my university days, I was always in the church reading Bible and books. Then I dropped out in my final year. I’ve never said this before. I dropped out when some boys were trying to make me join gang.’’

Oxlade also shared how a call from his grandma saved him from an attack launched by the cultists.

“One day, my grandma called me asking where I was. I said I was on campus and she said I should start coming to our family home in Ibadan. I went to Ibadan. That day, those boys almost killed my roommates.

“That’s why I appreciate my grandma’s importance in my life. Forget all these things say we dey whyne, God dey, truly, there’s God. And I’m saying this with my full chest, God has saved me countless times. That’s why I could come back twice as tall, just as Burna Boy called it.” He added in part.
