Portable fumes over N20bn damages fee slammed on him by Int’l label

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable has taken to social media to lament after a N20 billion damages fee was slammed against him by an international music label.

The ‘Zazu’ crooner who lamented his current situation in a video post on social media suggested that he has landed in hot soup following a shady deal signed on his behalf by his ex-manager and show promoter known as Ijoba Danku.

According to him, Freezy Entertainment (the International promoter) promised to get him a US visa, but after attending the interview and failing 5 times, he gave up on the deal.

After giving up on the deal, Portable said a new friend promised to help him get US Visa and take him to America but the Entertainment label which his ex-manager and promoter signed a deal with, insisted that he has to pay 12 million naira before they can let go of the old contract which he initially signed with them.

He also informed that he accepted and bargained to pay in Instalment and has paid N2 Million twice and but he can’t afford to continue with the N12M payment.

Portable added further that he is under pressure as the International label are requesting for N20 billion as fees for damages before they can write off the contract.
