Controversial Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has countered critics who are of the opinion that his new movie titled ‘Oko Iyabo’ (which has divided public opinion) saying no part of his movie undermines the girl child.
The movie ‘Oko Iyabo’ according to Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo “Oko iyabo” portrays a young girl with the mischievous career goal to be a prostitute.
The actress who kicked against the promotion of the movie further added in a post on Instagram that she is honestly waiting for the TAMPAN leadership to grant another press conference and address the sad issue of the movie that promotes abuse and ridicules the girl child.
Also actress Mercy Aigbe has also called out Yomi Fabiyi revealed that she spoke to actor over the new movie, and called him a disgrace to his face.
The enraged thespian accused Yomi Fabiyi of making a mockery of someone’s pain, while also adding that a particular scene from the movie is “insensitive, utterly distasteful and disgusting”.
In his defense, Yomi Fabiyi noted in a video posted on Instagram that no part of his movie undermines the girl child and trivializes the sexual abuse of comedienne, Princess’s underage foster daughter.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, Yomi denied claims that his movie undermines the girlchild.
He said; ”God sees my conscience. No part of my movie ‘Oko Iyabo’ undermines the girl child. So don’t let them play anything into your head”.
