Popular American singer Madonna reportedly ignored signs that she was unwell before she suffered a serious bacteria infection which landed her in a New York hospital.

This was revealed in a new report which stated that the veteran singer ignored the signs because she didn’t want to take time away from rehearsals at the time.

‘She ignored some symptoms of illness for quite a while because she thought they would go away. But she didn’t want to take time away from rehearsals,” a music insider explained to People.

‘Madonna was rundown and not feeling 100 percent for a while in anticipation of her tour. She is relentless in her quest to be the best, to wow her fans and to do what others before her have not done.”

Another source reiterated Madonna had been overworking herself. ‘She has been very busy for a long time and not taking care of herself. She just continues to push herself beyond the limit,’ they said.

Recall that the 64-year-old musician was found unresponsive on Saturday June 24 and was immediately rushed to an NYC hospital where she was intubated and placed in the Intensive Care Unit.

Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, explained in a post on Instagram moments later that the multiple Grammy award-winner “developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU,” but she’s expected to recover.

The singer has now been discharged from hospital and is currently recovering after suffering a serious bacteria infection which landed her in the Intensive Care Unit of a New York Hospital.
