Following the Supreme Court’s decision to strip away abortion rights in June which has since triggered debate over the instability of the right to same-s3x relationships and the right to same-s3x marriage, American singer, Lady Gaga has shared her opinion on the issue saying the country should not try to mess with gay marriage as they did with abortion rights.

She said this before performing her 2011 hit ‘Edge Of Glory’ at Monday’s (8 August) show at a sold-out Washington’s Nationals Park stadium where she paused proceedings to dedicate the song “to every woman in America”.

“To every woman who now has to worry about her body if she gets pregnant,” Gaga declared. “I pray that this country will speak up, that we will stick together, and that we will not stop until it’s right! For every woman.”

As her extended but stipped-back performance of ‘End Of Glory’ came to an end, Gaga added: “I didn’t mean to be, like, a downer, but there’s some shit that’s more important than show business.”

The hitmaker dedicated her 2011 queer anthem ‘Born This Way’ to the LGBTQ+ community.

She opened the song with the message: “This might not be the national anthem, but it’s our national anthem!”

The fierce LGBTQ+ advocate then yelled: “They better not try to mess with gay marriage in this country!”

Lady Gaga is touring through the USA and Japan into September on her Chomatica Ball Tour, which Attitude called “A return to outlandish excellence for Mother Monster.”
