Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey has said he will ‘voluntarily appear’ in a court in the United Kingdom over charges of s3xual assault leveled against him by three men.

This is coming after reports emerged on Monday that the UK could move to extradite him from the US to face the four counts of s3xual assault charges against him.

According to Crown Prosecution Services, the 62-year-old actor was last week charged with four counts of s3xual assault against three men. One man claims he was s3xually assaulted in 2005, another claims he was s3xually assaulted in 2008 and forced to engage in a s3x act against his will (both in London) while the third man claims he was s3xually assaulted in 2013 in Gloucestershire.

Reacting to the reports of possible extradition, Stacey in a statement given to Good Morning America has now said extraditing him won’t be necessary as he will appear before British courts to defend himself. He also said he is ‘confident’ he can ‘prove [his] innocence.’

“I very much appreciate the Crown Prosecution Service’s statement in which they carefully reminded the media and the public that I am entitled to a fair trial, and innocent until proven otherwise.

“While I am disappointed with their decision to move forward, I will voluntarily appear in the U.K. as soon as can be arranged and defend myself against these charges, which I am confident will prove my innocence.” The statement read.
