Danish national Peter Nielsen has been sentenced to death by hanging after he was found guilty of murdering his wife Zainab aka Alizee and their three year-old daughter, Petra.
Peter Nielsen was sentenced to death by hanging during resumed hearing at the Lagos High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square, (TBS), on Friday, May, 20.
Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile found 54-year-old Peter Nielsen guilty on counts one and two of murder preferred against him by Lagos State government.
The presiding judge began reading the judgement at 11:10am, after taking appearances of the prosecution counsel Adebayo Haroun and the defence counsel Uyi Giwa-Osaigie.

“I hereby pronounce that you Peter Nielsen shall be hanged by the neck until death. May God have mercy on you.”
The Lagos State Government had accused him of smothering Zainab and Petra to death at 3.45 a.m. at No. 4, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Peter Nielsen who pleaded not guilty to the two count charge was first arraigned on June 13, 2018, with final judgement on the case delivered four years later.
