An insider has shared an update about the health condition of popular American singer Madonna who was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a New York hospital.

The insider who spoke with TMZ revealed that Madonna has been mostly bedridden as she remains ‘weak and very tired’ following the ordeal, which landed her in an intensive care unit.

Recall that the 64-year-old musician was found unresponsive on Saturday June 24 and was immediately rushed to an NYC hospital where she was intubated and placed in the Intensive Care Unit.

Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, explained in a post on Instagram moments later that the multiple Grammy award-winner “developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU,” but she’s expected to recover.

However, Madonna was discharged six days ago from the New York hospital and is home and feeling better after an intensive care stay to the delight of her worried fans.

Her manager Guy Oseary had said in a statement last Thursday that Madonna is expected to make a full recovery, forcing her to delay her 84-date “Celebrations” tour due to start on July 15.
