I can’t comprehend Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, Russian dancer Pasha Kovalev says

Popular Russian dancer Pasha Kovalev has declared that he does not understand President Vladmir Putin’s invasion of Russia while condemning the ongoing war.

The 42-year-old who opened up during an interview with Loraine on Thursday revealed that his Russian family’s history has routes in the war-torn country, Ukraine.

Kovalev condemned the war saying it ‘shouldn’t be happening’ while also adding that as he said he cannot understand why the two countries (Russia and Ukraine) are at war.

He said: ‘It was difficult to comprehend this whole situation, I have Russian routes but my family goes back to Ukraine long, long generations ago. I cannot even comprehend how those two nations can be in war.’ 

Kovalev said that most Russian people are ‘definitely’ against the war as he condemned Putin’s advance.

He added: ‘Most Russian people I know they are definitely against war and war against Ukraine, it’s not even a question. It shouldn’t be happening.
