Popular Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has been named as the possible running mate to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos state.
According to the spokesman for the governorship candidate Akindele was nominated alongside four other person’s to be the running mate to the party’s candidate, Olajide Adediran though she hasn’t been confirmed yet.
“Funke Akindele hasn’t been confirmed as Jandor’s running mate. Funke is one of the five nominees to be Jandor’s running mate,” he said.

“She was nominated alongside four other people, whose names are Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Kolawole Vaughan, Adenike Shobajo and [Rasheed] Teslim-Balogun. Jandor has not named anyone as his running mate yet.”
This is after recent announcement that she has separated from her husband of over six years, JJC Skillz who said he tried his best to make the relationship work to no avail.
