Seun Kuti, scion of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti has rejected an invitation by the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a peace walk to ensure justice for all victims of Lekki tollgate shooting on October, 20, 2020.
This came after Babajide Sanwo-Olu, called on some notable youths to attend a peace walk to herald the healing of the state following the Lekki tollgate shooting incident.
The Lagos State government which issued the invite during a press conference held at the state house, Alausa, Ikeja today November 30 specifically invited Folarin Falana, the entertainer better known as Falz; Skit maker, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Marcaroni; Dele Farotimi, an activist and lawyer; Temitope Majekodunmi, Segun Awosanya, Singer, Seun Kuti, among others, to join him in the “historic march for our dear Lagos”.

However, Seun Kuti who reacted to the invitation in an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday November 30, said that he does not need to walk next to the governor before there is peace in Lagos State.
He said; “I don’t need to walk next to the governor before there is peace in Lagos.
“The governor should walk the walk he is talking about by bringing about justice. The governor is not an embodiment of justice, Seun Kuti is not an embodiment of justice, Falz is not an embodiment of justice, Mr Macaroni is not an embodiment of justice also.”
