British professional boxer Dylan Whyte has revealed that he is ready to step up to fight his compatriot Anthony Joshua after Tyson Fury called off his fight with AJ because “no contract has been signed” after his (Tyson’s) self-imposed 5 pm deadline on Monday.

Following the cancellation by Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte declared himself ready to step up and fight Joshua instead.

‘‘If the Fury fight doesn’t get made with Joshua then me and him can fight in December if he wants,” Whyte told Sky Sports.

‘’He’s training for it, he’s ready for it, he’s willing to take Fury on so if that fight doesn’t get made I’ll step up and take the fight with Joshua. That would be a great fight.’

Recall that Joshua said on Sunday he will sign the contract to fight Fury after the WBC champion issued an ultimatum if they are to put together their all-British heavyweight battle this year.

Fury, who initially called for Joshua to sign the contract by Monday, returned to Instagram to state that Joshua had until 5 pm otherwise he would walk away from the deal.

However, Fury later went on Instagram to say: “It’s official. D Day has come and gone. It’s gone past 5 pm Monday, no contract has been signed. It’s officially over for Joshua. He’s now out in the cold with the wolfpack. Forget about it. Idiot. Coward!”
