Nollywood actress Lota Chukwu has taken to her official social media account to warn her fans not to allow people to use forgiveness to manipulate them and gain access to their lives.
The thespian who took to her Instastory to caution her fans said that one needs to be careful to avoid being boxed into an unpleasant situation over forgiveness.
To buttress her point, Lota Chukwu shared a short clip where a woman said “I actually do not hold grudges, I establish boundaries based on behaviours to protect myself.”

In her reaction to her statement, Lota said; “Finally, someone put it succinctly. Don’t let anyone use asking for forgiveness to manipulate you into granting the same access before an incident. It’s called learning from experience.
“Forgiveness is the offender’s compromise, respecting boundaries set as a result of offense, is the offender’s compromise”.
