Dana Dinorah, the ex-wife of popular Brazilian soccer star Dani Alves has defended her former husband saying he would never assault a woman s3xually.
While reacting to the arrest of Dani Alves during the programme Fiesta on Spain’s Telecinco station Dana said that she is still in shock at the allegations.
The Brazilian-based businesswoman said in an interview with a Spanish TV programme: ‘Dani would never ever ever do this.
”I say this because I’ve known him for 22 years and been married to him for ten.
”This has been a shock for me and for my children.
”I have two teenage children who are suffering.”

Speaking to the programme Fiesta on Spain’s Telecinco station, Dana added: ‘Dani asked his lawyer to call me so I could sort out his most urgent things.
Recall that Dani Alves, who is currently under investigation on a s3xual assault charge, was remanded to jail on Friday by a Spanish judge, the Catalonia Higher Court of Justice.
“Investigating magistrate number 15 of Barcelona has received today, as a detainee, the football player Dani Alves, accused by a woman for an alleged sexual assault, in events that allegedly happened in a Barcelona discotheque this past month of December,” the statement said.
“The magistrate has ruled provisional jail without bail, for the ongoing case for a crime of sexual assault,” the statement said. But the judge allowed Alves to have communications while in jail, it added.
