Court orders Kevin Costner’s ex-wife Christine to pay $14,000 sanction

A court in the US has ordered Christine Baumgartner to pay the sum of $14,000 as sanction for failing to explain why her prenup with ex-husband Kevin Costner should be voided.

The order issued on Wednesday by Judge Thomas Anderle after she failed to explain on why her prenup should be voided through her lawyers who represented her in court.

Pleading on Christine’s behalf, her attorney asked the judge to consider her and revoke the sanction saying if she provides all answers required to her husband, Costner’s lawyers, it would alter her attorney -client privilege.

Christine and her distanced husband Kevin Costner were absent at the court, although she was present via zoom.

Christine is doing all of this, voiding her prenuptial agreement so as to receive alimony at trial in November .

In addition, she wants Judge Anderle to give her $855,000 to cover the cost estimated as attorney fees

Judge Anderle in court today, decided to postpone the decision in the legal cost until September 20th when all ears would be given as regards the issue suggested.

John Rydell, Christine’s attorney, asked the judge to withdraw his decision to sanction her.
