Media personality Lerin Nicodemus has described Grammy award-winning artiste Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy as the biggest fraud and the most uninspiring artiste in Nigeria.
The radio personality launched the stinging attack against Burna Boy in a TikTok video after the ‘Ye’ crooner stated that 90% of Afrobeats songs lack substance and real life experiences.
Recall that Burna Boy who made the remarks while speaking during a recent interview with a foreign media platform, said that Afrobeats is mostly about nothing, literally nothing, as there is absolutely no substance to the genre of music.
According to Burna Boy, most Afrobeats musicians sing about stuff that is not too important/ He said that they only sing about an “amazing time” even though life is not that way.
In her reaction to the comments made by Burna Boy, the media personality accused him of condemning the Afrobeats music genre after latching on to it to attain global recognition.
“Burna Boy is the biggest fraud and most uninspiring artiste in Nigeria, his entire brand is built on Fela’s Pan Africanism but when there is a social activity, he either keeps quiet or mocks the people,” Lerin said in a part.
