Attending University made me feel like a failure —Rapper Blaq Bones

Fast-rising Nigerian rapper Blaq Bones has taken to social media to recount how attending the University made him feel like a failure as he had his mind focused on other things at the time.

The rapper who took to his Twitter page to recount his experience said that his classmates were getting As and having a future that looked bright, while he was dropping mixtapes and hoping it got to public space.

The Engineering graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University added in the post on Twitter that he almost got depressed and didn’t know how he would have taken care of his mother if he wasn’t successful in music.

Blaq Bones wrote thus on Twitter; “My serious friends in school are doing well in their respective fields, we all made choices and dedicated our lives to it, and it’s paying off.

“When I see niggas reading overnight all the time at Law 201 hall, I’d be asking myself what am I doing with my life like this? I can answer now, i was laying a foundation.

“Really grateful for how far I’ve come. I don’t know who would have been taking care of my mum if this music didn’t work.

“University made me feel like a failure, niggas were getting As and future looking bright, I was dropping mixtapes and hoping notjustokay would post it

“I can’t believe i was almost depressed in University cos them engineering shit was killing me, all i wanted to do was rap,” he added.
