Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has taken a swipe at some of her colleagues in the movie industry who have taken sides with alleged rapist, Baba Ijesha, who has been arrested and detained for defiling a 14-year-old girl.
The actress who spilled her guts in a video on social media said that there is no excuse for rape added that those (her colleagues) defending the actor by claiming he is being framed up should get a lawyer for him to prove his innocence.
She also warned those circulating videos of the actor being caught in the act to desist from such as a minor is involved in the matter stating further that it is such attitude that makes people to refuse to go public with abuses they were subjected to by influential people.
The comments of the actress came after the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria condemned Baba Ijesha after he was arrested for raping the minor.
In a statement issued on Saturday TAMPPAN expressed disappointment over the alleged sexual abuse of a teenager by the actor while describing his action as odious occurrence of paedophilia.
TAMPPAN in the statement signed by its Director of Research and Documentation, Yemi Amodu, said it would never support any hideous act but would support the Lagos State Government in ensuring that justice is served.
