ALLEGED ASSAULT: Portable granted bail as he reports himself to Ogun State police

Popular Nigerian singer, Habib Okikiola better known as Portable was on Wednesday granted bail by the Ogun state police command after he reported himself at the Eleweran branch.

This was revealed in a statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi who said the artist reported at Eleweran at about 5pm with his father and manager.

”He was immediately ordered to be taken to the public complain bureau office by the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, where he was interrogated about his role in the assault video.

According to Abimbola, Portable was immediately granted bail and released to a reliable surety who promised to produce him anytime he is needed owing to the strike action by civil servants in the state which also affected courts.

“The assaulted victim has also been invited to come and state his own side of the story to enable the command complete investigation on time.” Abimbola added.

Recall that the singer was earlier invited by the state police command for questioning after the release of then viral video where he was seen ordering his boys to beat up a man.
