While speaking at the event powered by CEED, Certification Edge Executive Development with the theme: Managers That Manage- ‘Building the management gap for exponential growth’ Ajibola Bamidele said that not all managers are prepared for the job.

According to him, not all managers that have the managerial title really know how to manage, especially when they cannot manage a business.

‘‘Some people do not know what management requires until they get into management. People like that are called accidental managers who later discover that they are actually not prepared for the job.

‘‘A manager is someone that drives results and constantly engages people. He doesn’t lose people while driving results and he does not get people gathered for a purpose and does not get results.

”Also, a manager having leadership traits is not enough; it is not enough for a manager to be good, patient and enthusiastic. Those characteristics are not enough to be a manager. An ideal manager frankly is one who is able to drive enterprise results,’’ Bamidele added.
