Filming has resumed the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever sequel after it was suspended to allow co- film’s star, Letitia Wright, to recover after she sustained an unspecified injury in late August.
Production was initially to have restarted last Monday but was delayed thanks to several cast and crew, Lupita Nyong’o among them, testing positive for COVID-19.
First reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the news was confirmed today by a person close to the situation who said shooting is due to resume in Atlanta next week on the Ryan Coogler-directed picture for what sources say will be about four weeks.

Wright, who played Shuri in the predominantly Black superhero movie, suffered an injury in August during a stunt.
She has however healed and is back in Atlanta ready to resume her role as fan-favorite character Shuri.
The movie ‘Wakanda Forever’ is one of three Marvel movies due out this year, the others being Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 6) and Thor: Love and Thunder (July 8).
