After 13-years, Britney Spears conservatorship finally ends

A judge in Los Angeles has ended the legal agreement that has controlled the life of American singer Britney Spears as the singer’s conservatorship has officially terminated after 13-years.

The controversial conservatorship that controlled the pop star’s personal and financial affairs since 2008 finally ended following a court ruling on Friday, November 12, 2021.

Britney Spears had been under the conservatorship of her dad since 2008. Under the conservatorship, Jamie reportedly had full control over Britney’s personal, financial and medical affairs.

After the landmark court hearing in Los Angeles, the star took to Instagram to share footage of #FreeBritney supporters outside the court house celebrating the end of her conservatorship.

Britney described it as the “best day ever”.

She wrote: “Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy !!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen #FreedBritney.”
