Nollywood Actress Omoni Oboli has responded to one of her followers on social media who accused her of refusing to help her family during the heat of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

According to the screenshot of the direct message shared by Omoni, the follower had reached out to her in 2020, begging for financial help as her husband lost his job as a result of the pandemic and their son was seriously ill.

The same follower however reached out to her again two years later to say that she waited for her alert but never saw any and then thanked her for ignoring her message as it taught her not to depend on anyone.

“Happy Sunday Omoni, well I thought I should let you know that you taught me not to depend on anyone. I waited for your alert all day thinking you’ll remember me. well God smiled on our faces, we have good jobs now thanks for ignoring,” the follower wrote.

Omoni who claims not to have seen the message owing to the number of messages on her DM condemned the follower’s feeling of entitlement over her wealth adding that it is only her three children that have such entitlement.

In her exact words, the actress wrote thus in reply; “It’s the entitlement that kills me. Like seriously, do you know how hard I work! I’m up when your ass is in bed, working! I don’t sleep as many hours as most others because my bills won’t pay themselves and my goals and dreams are bigger than most people so I grind.

‘‘I’m in pre-production for two jobs. About to shoot one in a couple of weeks while running my other businesses and being a full time wife and mother with no help. Went to bed at 4:30am because I was doing bulk cooking for my family! So no one is entitled to my money except my kids and last I checked, I have just three,’’ she noted.

Omoni Oboli added in her reply that she’s glad ignoring her taught her a very vital lesson in life (even though she never saw the message) ” nobody is coming to save you! It’s left to you and your God to design the life you want.”
