Veteran Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo has reacted to the $100,000 ransom placed on two of her colleagues who were recently abducted by kidnappers in Enugu state while returning from a movie location.

The Nollywood stars, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel were declared missing by the president of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas who said their families reported they were yet to return from a movie shoot in Ozalla, Enugu state.

Emeka Rollas later revealed that their abductors contacted their families demanding for a $100,000 ransom after clearing the bank account of Cynthia.

Reacting, Dokubo via her Instagram handle lamented that the huge ransom was as a result of the wrong picture painted by some actors and actresses on the social media which makes people think they are wealthy even when they’re not.

She added that there is no way the Nollywood industry can raise that amount and that their last resort is their fans who they believe could help them raise the money.

“One hundred thousand US dollars for two decent hardworking Nigerians whose only offence is that they were returning from work.” She wrote.
