Actor Zack Efron opens up on his battle with agoraphobia

Talented Hollywood actor Zack Efron has opened up on his struggles with agoraphobia- the fear of going outside.

Zack who opened up on his struggles during an interview with Men’s Health said that he just doesn’t go out with a group of people as it triggers his agoraphobia.

Speaking of the disorder, Efron said to Men’s Health: “I just don’t go out. People in large groups… it triggers my agoraphobia.”

He went on to discuss some of the problems he faced while attempting to bulk up for the 2017 Baywatch remake, saying: “There’s just too little water in the skin. Like, it’s fake; it looks CGI’d.

“And that required Lasix, powerful diuretics, to achieve. So I don’t need to do that. I much prefer to have an extra, you know, 2 to 3 percent body fat.”

The NHS defines agoraphobia as the “fear of being in situations where escape might be difficult or that help wouldn’t be available if things go wrong.”
