Popular reality TV star Kim Kardashian is not planning to drop the West from her surname even after her divorce from the American rapper Kanye West is finalized by a court of law.
A source told TMZ Kim Kardashian is expected to retain her former husband’s last name to protect her children, as she thinks it is “important” to have the same name as her kids.

Despite Kanye filing to change his name to just Ye, Kim plans to keep the West name with her children even as sources also claimed that Kim fully supports Kanye’s recent decision to legally change his name to Ye.
All of the former couple’s children share the surname of West, and Kim wants to maintain a “strong family unit”.
