Seun Kuti, scion of late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti has replied critics who lashed at him for revealing how is mother hides to smoke weed with him in his room when her mother is around for a visit.
The musician had earlier revealed during an interview with Nicole Abebe and Moet Abebe, said that his mother did this because his grandmother didn’t know she smokes weed.

According to Seun in the visual podcast Spill the Tea with the Abebes on Wednesday. the 11th of August 2021, he will always tell his mother to “go deal with her mum as his own mother knows he smokes”.
His comments elicited a horde of backlash from people who wondered why Seun Kuti should be revealing that he smoked weed with his mother. In his response to his critics, Seun says his comments were not out of place as his mother’s smoking is very well documented.
