The organisers of the 2024 Grammy Awards have released the list of nominees for next year’s edition with Nigerian music acts Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Ayra Starr and Olamide all nominated for the for the forthcoming 66th music awards.

Self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ Burna Boy bagged four nominations for “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” for Best Melodic Rap Performance, “I Told Them…” for Best Global Music Album, “Alone” for Best Global Music Performance, and “City Boys” for Best African Music Performance, making him the most nominated Nigerian artiste ever at the Grammys.

Davido came close with three nominations for the Best African Performance category for his hit single ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa KeysBest Global Music Performance category for his single ‘Feel’ and Best Global Album category for his record breaking fourth album ‘Timeless’.

Asake and Olamide’s hit track ‘Amapiano’, Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys’, Ayra Starr’s banger ‘Rush’, Davido and Musa Keys’ ‘Unavailable’, and Tyla’s ‘Water’ were the nominees in the maiden Best African Music Performance category.
