MOHBAD: Court grants Naira Marley, Sammy Larry N20m bail, issues stern warning

A Magistrate court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State has granted the pair of Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley and social Samson Eletu alias Sammy Larry bail in the sum of N20 million.

The Magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, who delivered the ruling this morning November 6, also ordered that the pair are to provide three responsible sureties to secure their release.

Olatubosun ordered the duo to submit their international passports as part of their bail conditions and also instructed them to make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The Magistrate also warned that any attempt by Naira Marley and Sammy Larry to contact her would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.

“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” Olatunbosun said.

Recall that the magistrate had ordered the remand of Naira Marley and Sam Larry in police custody for 21 days over the sudden death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad who died on September 12 at the age of 27.
