YouTube restricts earnings on Russell Brands account amid rape, s3xual abuse allegations

Popular video streaming site YouTube has restricted earnings on the account of British comedian Russell Brand amid rape and s3xual assault claims leveled against him.

In a public statement issued on Tuesday, YouTube stated that earnings have been restricted on his account because the comedian violated its ”Creator Responsibility Policy” with the allegations of rape and s3xual abuse leveled against him.

The comedian releases about five videos weekly for 6.6million of his subscribers, which he is paid an estimated amount of £ 1 million yearly.

As part of the terms of his recent suspension, the comedian who releases about five videos weekly for 6.6million of his subscribers, which he is paid an estimated amount of £1 million yearly will be permitted to post contents on YouTube but will not receive any of advertising revenue.

In a statement announcing the suspension of earnings on his account, YouTube: “If a creator’s off-platform behaviour harms our users, employees or ecosystem, we take action to protect the community.”
