Talented Nigerian rapper Aboriomo Femi Raymond aka Dremo has supported Burna Boy’s claim that 90 percent of Afrobeats songs waxed by local artistes have no real life experiences.

Recall that Burna Boy who made the remarks while speaking during a recent interview with a foreign media platform said that Afrobeats is mostly about nothing, literally nothing, as there is absolutely no substance to the genre of music.

According to Burna Boy, most Afrobeats singers sing about stuff that is not too important, they only sing about an “amazing time” even though life is not that way.

He said; “Not even experience because 90 percent of them have no real life experiences that they can understand which is why you hear most of Nigerian Music or I will say African Music, I don’t even know what to say, Afrobeats that’s what you people call it is mostly about nothing, literally nothing, there is no substance to it, like nobody is talking about anything, it’s just a great time, just an amazing time.”

While backing the comments made by the Grammy Award-winning artiste, Dremo claimed that most Nigerian singers lack substance but are pushed by marketing.

“I get where Burna is coming from, some of these cats have zero substance but 100% marketing .. I’m happy for y’all but just stay humble abeg , we know the talented ones”. Dremo posted on his X page (formerly Twitter) in support of Burna Boy.
