Star Tee opens up on the essence behind his debut EP ‘Love & Growth’

Burgeoning Nigerian artiste (based in Ghana) Lucky Amos Arepade popularly known in music circles as Star Tee has revealed the essence behind the release of his debut Extended Play (EP) music project which he titled ‘Love & Growth.

The talented musician who hails from Amassoma LGA in Bayelsa State but was born in the Oyo State capital of Ibadan in the South Western part of Nigeria, made the revelation in an exclusive interview with Naija Blog Gist (NBG).

According to him, ‘Love & Growth’ is a personal and emotional journey which captures and encapsulates his initial struggles, self-doubt, constrains, hurdles, limitations, and other major challenges which he had to deal with in his quest to carve a desired niche for myself in the music industry.

‘Love & Growth’ is an 8-track collection by the talented artiste who discovered his passion for music while he was young and was later mentored by popular beat maker Jay Sleek who produced legendary artistes like: 2face, Timaya, and the late Sound Sultan in the past.

In his remarks moments after dropping his new EP, Star Tee said; “A person who walks in love is more likely to develop versatility, resilience and confidence and that often leads to mental strength. Such people can face tough situations without losing their strength easily.’’

The exciting new EP (which is now available across major music streaming platforms) features budding Ghanaian artistes including Camidoh and Gallaxy. The fresh music collection begins with the soulful track dubbed ‘Jollof’ and ends with the bouncy tune titled ‘Kolobi’.

ABOUT STAR TEE (BIOGRAPHY):

Talented Nigerian singer Lucky Amos Arepade popularly known in music circles as Star Tee who hails from Amassoma LGA in Bayelsa State was born in the Oyo State capital of Ibadan, on February 11, 1990, to be precise.

Star Tee later moved with his parents to Lagos as they relocated to the inner suburbs of Ajegunle where he started honing his musical skills at the tender age of six.

The musician attended Arakan Barrack Primary School (first school leaving certificate) and later Randle Secondary School (second school leaving certificate) both located in Apapa, Lagos State.

His love for doing music saw him singing during family time, among his many friends and in various churches around Ajegunle as he mastered his musical craft to great effect.

While growing up, Star Tee was greatly influenced into doing what he loves the most (music) by Nigerian music legend and ‘African Queen’ crooner 2face Idibia and sensational singer Brymo.

His quest to master his craft and ultimately achieve success in his chosen career (music) saw him move to Ghana around early 2017 to carve a desired niche for himself on the music scene.

DISCOGRAPHY:

Since he moved to Ghana, Star Tee has waxed and officially released countless of songs 31 songs in total (13 songs for his EP with B.Brefo- titled: ‘Fail Forward’,15 songs for mixtape titled: ‘Gifted’ and three other singles ‘Soweto’, ‘Okey; and ‘Pray For Life’.

Star Tee who is not signed onto any record label at the moments has collaborated with no fewer than nine Ghanaian artistes including; Camidoh, Gallaxy, Lyrical Joe, Fameye, Dope Nation, ENE Yatt , B.Brefo Gabanki and G.West.

He has dropped his brand new EP (Extended Play) music project titled ‘Love & Growth and he hopes to feature his established compatriots Joeboy, Fireboy DML, AV and Burna Boy in the future.
