The estranged wife of popular Hollywood actor Kevin Costner has demanded that her soon to be ex-husband parts with the lump sum of $248k every month in child support.

The actor’s ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, made the demand in new court documents in which she argued that getting that amount on a monthly basis is the only way she and her three kids can “live at a standard somewhat approaching the standard that the children will be enjoying while in Kevin’s care.”

She also further states in the new document that the money does not cover their private school tuition, health care and sports-related expenses. Christine said Kevin will have to pay for that too.

According to her, Kevin’s enormous wealth is more than enough to cover what she wants as his total income last year was $19.5 million.

“Our marital lifestyle, including that of the children, was consistent with Kevin’s long-term exceedingly high income,” Baumgartner said in her June 16 declaration.

She added, “My primary goal is to make sure that the children continue to thrive, and when they are with me, to live in a home and lifestyle that is at least somewhat comparable to that of their father.”
