Kanye West agrees to buy conservative social media app Parler

Popular American rapper Kanye West who prefers to be called ‘Ye’ has started the process of acquiring far-right social media application Parler after was locked out of micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Parler is one of several right-wing-friendly social media platforms to emerge in the Donald Trump era.

Kanye West has agreed to buy Parler, a conservative social media app, after other platforms (Twitter and Instagram) suspended him over antisemitic posts.

“In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” Kanye West said in a release.

Parler’s parent company Parlement Technologies said the acquisition would help create “an uncancelable ecosystem where all voices are welcome.”

Parlement Technologies added: “This deal will change the world, and change the way the world thinks about free speech.
