Ebony Films Productions boss Olajide Oluwaseun Kazeem, popularly known as Seun Egbegbe has regained his freedom after spending three years and six months in prison.
After spending 42 months in jail, Seun Egbegbe was freed yesterday October 11, 2022, after he was arrested, tried and convicted in court for defrauding some Bureau De Change operatives at Gbagada in Lagos.
Egbegbe was jailed on February 10, 2017, after fraudulently obtaining N39 million, $90,000, and £12,550 from over forty Bureau De Change Operators in Lagos between 2015 to March 2017.
Recall that Seun Egbegbe and his accomplice Oyekan Ayomide were both granted bail to the tune of N5 million by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos after their conviction.
In his pronouncement while ruling on Egbegbe’s bail application, Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo said that the suspect and his accomplice, who were arrested for defrauding some Bureau De Change operatives at Gbagada in Lagos, should remain in police custody until their bail conditions are perfected.
