Our Duke has gone mad again… Edgar reacts after watching a riveting gay movie on Netflix

Normal People are in church and I am here on my couch watching a riveting series on Netflix about a gay couple – uncoupling.

The series is so exciting and has everything that catches my interest in a TV series- location, good plot, super performance and a lifestyle reflective of mine: a love for art, fashion and spaces.

But this loses me. The gayness of it all is ridiculous. Men kissing men. Men loving men and men getting heart broken by men

Modern day living says we should not judge but at best tolerate. But a feast of gay men in a well produced show is just a little bit too much even for me

I pride myself as being liberal and accommodating. I push the boundaries s3xually and remain very open to conversations demurring s3xualines but this morning I seem to have ingested a little bit too much

I am bloated and feel a ting of nausea as I see men act like women. He gets cheated on and he cries like a woman. He fondled like a woman and kisses like a woman.

I just stare numb. I like the clothes, the fashion gets to me and seems to be the only thing that catches my fancy in all of these but in the end, I may have just injured myself.

I have a few gay friends but these are Nigerian gay who still are deep in the closet and who will deny their s3xuality at the slightest prodding but this one today is insane.

I used to think I understood the culture especially when they came at me and I laughed off their attention. But this uncouple movie, I just watched, has spooked me big time.

The acceptability, the joy among the larger community at a gay wedding, the shifting of things otherwise fundamental in society to accommodate not only the gay culture but other derived cultures all throwing a huge confusion into my mind.

These were the ones who did s3x and the city. What they have done now is to remove Sera Jessica Parker and her friends and replace them with Neil Harris Parker and his friends.

My people this is the first time I am watching a full gay s3x scene on mainstream TV and I don die for here o. I don vomit and I dey ask myself who send me o.

I for go church o. Now man dey irritate me. As my friend Dami of BBC come collect tickets for Emir Sanusi, I couldn’t even look him in the eye.

I give him a huge distance and hurry him off and out of the house.

I have just done a huge damage to my psyche. I thought I understood it but was kidding myself.

What is going on in society?

Wow
