Popular Nigerian comedian I Go Save has called out the Delta State PPRO, Bright Edafe, for saying that police officers have the right to search citizens in the ongoing fight against drug abuse.

The comedian faulted the Delta State PPRO after an Instagram user lamented how some police officers harassed him and wasted his time because he refused to allow them inspect his tongue.

Edafe while replying the IG user said that the primary duty of the police is protection of lives and property and that if the police men insisted on inspecting his tongue for that purpose then their actions were in order.

Reacting to the response, the comedian insisted that police officers shouldn’t be allowed to check citizens for drug abuse because it isn’t in the jurisdiction to carry out such assignments but that of NDLEA.
