Following Amber Heard’s loss in the recently concluded defamation suit against her ex husband, Johnny Depp, the actress has now said she loved Depp and tried everything possible to make their relationship work to no avail.
Amber Heard said this during her first interview since the defamation trial between her and Depp when Gutherie asked her if, after everything, she “still has love” for Depp.
“Yeah, absolutely, I love him. I loved him with all my heart,” she responded.
“And I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work and I couldn’t.”

“I have no bad feelings or ill will towards him at all,” she added.
“I know that might be hard to understand or it might be really easy to understand if you’ve just ever loved anyone.”
Recall that Depp sued Heard for $50 million, alleging she defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she wrote about her experience with domestic violence, though he was not mentioned by name.
However, she countersued him for $100 million and they both were found liable for defamation, but the jury awarded $8.5m damages to Depp.
