Singer Benneto reveals why he admires Davido and hopes to surpass his achievements

Fast-rising Afrobeat singer Benneth Ajoku Akachukwu, popularly known as Benneto has set high standards for himself as he strives to carve a desired niche for himself on the ever competitive Nigerian music scene.

The burgeoning musician who hails from Imo State but was born in Enugu State in Nigeria says music is a tool he uses to express himself and also to tell his many life experiences as a young man.

When asked about who inspired him into making music, Benneto who attended Command Day Secondary School, Enugu and is currently an undergraduate said that Wizkid and Iceprince inspired him into becoming a musician.

Benneto, who derived his stage name from his first name Benneth also added during an interview that he admires popular Nigerian musician, David Adeleke aka Davido so much because he took the business of music to the next level.

The talented Afropop singer who has waxed a handful of singles said that he would in the future like to collaborate with American R&B singer Chris Brown and Nigeria’s Tekno because of their musical skills and creativity.

When asked what it is about music that makes him feel passionate Benneto said; “I feel like music is a tool I can use to express myself and also to tell a story or experience.”

Benneto also talked about his likely accomplishments as a musician in the next ten years.

“I don’t think I can tell specifically what I would be able to achieve in the next 5-10 years as a musician because I’m not God. But I can categorically say that whatever accomplishment it would be then, it would be a great one,” Benneto noted.
