Popular Nigerian Singer turned politician, Bankole Wellington better known as Banky W, has emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party’s primary election rerun in Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Lagos State.
This is following the controversy surrounding the first primary election which was held on May 23rd where he defeated his opponent with 25 votes whereas the opponent was declared winner. Consequently, the party leaders ordered a rerun leading to his emergence as winner.

Banky W emerged winner this time with a total of 24 votes against his main opponent, Sam Aiboni, who got only five votes.
He has now taken to his Instagram page to thank his supporters who stood by him through thick and thin.
