LASU urges Bella Shmurda to return and complete his degree programme

Lagos State University (LASU) has urged Nigerian music artiste, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed popularly known as Bella Shmurda to return to the institution to complete his degree programme.

The artiste had in a post on his birthday said he dropped out of LASU after he failed some courses adding that he’s glad he was stubborn enough not to rewrite them but instead pursued his music dream.

In the tweet, the musician said that he is now worth over half a billion streams (550millions streams to be precise). “I for astill Dey LASU Dey wine and dine with carryovers and stranded with nothing in my pocket… forever glad I did my thing,” he wrote.

Reacting to his tweet, the institution said it’s happy it played a part in Bella Shmurda’s story and however, urged him to return to the classroom to complete his degree programme.

“Happy birthday@fineboybella. Glad you have come this far pursuing your dream. Also glad @LASUOfficial played a part in your beautiful story because Univ. don’t make people rich, only incubate them to find and achieve purpose. BTW, please come back to class and earn your degree.” LASU tweeted using its official Twitter handle.
