Film production firm drags Kannywood actress to court for failing act movie after collecting N1.3m payment

Kannywood actress Hafsat Idris has been dragged before a Kano State High Court by a film production firm, known as UK entertainment over an alleged breach of contract by the thespian.

The film production firm in a suit filed before a Kano State High Court 14 sitting at the Ungogo Local Government Area accused the actress of collecting N1.3million to feature in a television series but ending up not fulfilling the terms of the agreement reportedly signed by both parties.

In the suit cited by Daily Trust, the plaintiff claimed damages were incurred by the production outfit due to the breach of contract by the actress.

The production firm asked the court to award N10million as damages.

The defendant, through her attorney, filed a formal response to the claims.

The presiding court judge later adjourned the case for hearing.
