Popular media personality Nedu Wazobia has denied reports that he engaged men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to forcefully seize his children from his now estranged ex-wife, Uzoamaka Ohiri.
Reports emerged on Tuesday September 28, 2021, that the children were seized from Uzoamaka and handed over to the comedian by policemen attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
Punch reported that in a letter of invitation with reference number CR:3000/LSX/D10/Vol.3/71 which was signed by Fayoade Adegoke, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the SCID, Ohiri was asked to see CSP Margaret Ighodalo.
However, Nedu Wazobia in a photo post with his ex-wife on his official Instagram page denied the impression that he engaged policemen to seize his kids while stating that it was a unanimous agreement.

The media personality said that he wants the media to back off from his family as he is not the first person with a failed marriage and also expressed his disappointment of having to come to social media to explain himself.
The comedian also reiterated that he has always taken care of his kids contrary to claims made earlier.
“I am sad that once again, I need to clear the air on what I consider a private matter. But for the sake of all the parties involved, it is pertinent that I do so. Please let the following be clear to all journalists, blogs, news platforms, etc,” he wrote on IG.
