2pac’s step father Mutulu Shakur granted bail after 36-years in prison

Mutulu Shakur, the stepfather of late American rapper 2pace Amaru Shakur has been released from prison 36-years after amid his declining health.

A report by the Intercept reveals that the 72-year-old has been reportedly granted compassionate release from prison amid declining health conditions after doctors told him he had 6 months to live.

The report further noted that Mutulu Shakur was permitted to spend his final days outside of prison by the U.S. Parole Commission on Thursday, November 10.

Mutulu Shakur who is set to live out his remaining days in Southern California was recently diagnosed by doctors with bone marrow cancer, with a Bureau of Prisons doctor claiming in May 2pqc’s stepfather had less than six months to live.

“We now find your medical condition renders you so infirm of mind and body that you are no longer physically capable of committing any Federal, State or local crime,” the parole commission said.
